How This Website Makes Money

Who operates this website, how it is funded, what that means for the advice you read here, and what we will not do.

Most websites in this category do not tell you how they are paid, which makes it hard to judge what you are reading. This page states it plainly, along with the specific things we will not do because of it.

Who operates this site

AIXIS, LLC d/b/a Carbide Digital operates Greater Burlington Dentist. It is not a dental practice, employs no dentists, and provides no clinical care of any kind. Every examination, diagnosis and treatment is provided by licensed dental professionals at an independent practice.

    How it is funded

The intended model is that a participating dental practice pays to receive appointment requests from this website — either a flat monthly sponsorship or a fee per inquiry delivered. Payment is for the inquiry, not for whether you go ahead with treatment, and not a share of what you pay the practice.

You are never charged anything for using this website or for requesting an appointment. Any fees for dental treatment are set by the practice that treats you and discussed with you directly.

What that means for what you read here

A funding model creates incentives, so here is how we handle the obvious ones.

      • We never quote treatment prices, because we are not the practice treating you
      • We explain conservative options alongside expensive ones, including doing nothing
      • We say plainly when traveling to us is probably not worth it
      • We publish the sources behind clinical content and the date they were checked
      • We do not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials we cannot substantiate
      • We do not claim any dentist's credentials, specialties or availability

      What we will not do

These are commitments, and they are testable — if you find us breaking one, it is a mistake rather than a policy.

      • Sell your information for unrelated advertising
      • Tell you that you are a candidate for any treatment
      • Diagnose anything from a form response
      • Guarantee availability, outcomes, insurance coverage or financing approval
      • Publish a fabricated review, rating or patient story
      • Present a sponsored practice as an independent recommendation

      If something here looks wrong

Tell us. Email team@carbidedigital.io with the page and what looks incorrect. Content errors get corrected and the source-checked date updated. See our editorial policy for how clinical content is produced and reviewed.

        Common questions

        What people ask before scheduling

        Do you charge me anything?

No. There is no charge to use this website or to request an appointment. Any dental treatment fees are set by the practice that treats you.

Do you get paid more if I have expensive treatment?

No. The intended model pays for the inquiry, not a share of treatment revenue. Vermont law makes fee-splitting for patient referrals unprofessional conduct for a dentist, which is one reason the model is structured this way.

Is the practice I am sent to the best one, or just the one paying?

It is a practice that has agreed to receive requests. We do not claim it is the best available, and you should not read it as an independent recommendation — see how requests work.

Why do you not publish reviews?

Because we could not substantiate them, and unsubstantiated reviews are worse than none. Look at independent review sources for the practice you are actually offered.

Can I ask which practice will receive my request before I submit?

Yes. Ask in follow-up before sharing anything further. No practice is assigned at the moment you submit the form.

        Who do I complain to?

Email team@carbidedigital.io for anything about this website. Complaints about clinical care go to the practice that provided it, and ultimately to the Vermont Board of Dental Examiners.
