Does professional whitening work on every tooth?
No. It acts on natural tooth structure. Crowns, veneers, bonding and fillings do not change color, and some discolouration comes from inside the tooth and responds differently. An examination establishes which type you have.
Is whitening safe for sensitive teeth?
Sensitivity is a common and usually temporary side effect, and there are ways to manage it. Tell the dental team about existing sensitivity before starting so the approach and strength can be adjusted.
How long do the results last?
It varies with diet, smoking, and your own teeth. Most people need some form of maintenance over time. Ask what maintenance involves and what it costs before starting.
Why is one of my teeth darker than the rest?
